Finely drawn map of this area, including lower part of Wisconsin, showing all of the rivers, streams, lakes, groves, towns and Indian villages and sites of Brigade encampment with month and day of encampment. Note at top states "Battle of Bad Axe fought on 2? Aug." There is evidence that this map was drawn by Lieutenant M.L. Clark, aide-de camp to General Henry Atkinson who was prominent in the Black Hawk War in 1832 of which the battle of Bad Axe was the last battle.
